Breaking News

Today the Heisman Trophy commission released that the 2009 Heisman winner is Barack Obama.  As the college football season is still ongoing, the early announcement has shocked college football fans and players.  However the commission is sticking by its announcement, stating "There is just no way that any player can display the type of skills that Obama has. Time and time again he has shown that in the world of college football, hope is the number one commodity."

It is a known fact that Obama is a big fan of college football, often times neglecting current world events to tune into ESPN pre-game.  The commission continues "Given the president's deep committment to college football, and the amount of hope he has brought to the players, he has had the biggest impact in college football in 2009."

Obama has taken the honor with humility and thankfulness.  "I have had Michelle clear out a nice area in the Oval office to display the trophy.  I am honored to receive such a recongition and accept it on behalf of all the players and their hopes for a better tommorrow."

Not all players have welcomed the announcement with open arms.  Tim Tebow, the Heisman frontrunner was quoted as saying, "Puuu-lease.  This is a crock.  I am gonna stick some "hope" where the sun doesn't shine".  Colt McCoy, the Texas standout, said "Hey Obama, why don't you come on down to Texas......yea thats what I though."  Just so the world doesn't think it is only white players that are up in arms.  Jacory Harris, who plays for Miami, said "You might be my "brotha" Obama, but we ain't friends no longer....you stole this trophy fair and square."

More on this topic when Obama makes a public statement in the Rose Garden later this afternoon.
